Because it is with great amazement that you have to stand around an open field of beautiful roses, and wonder about What God was thinking when He Created, then Placed the flower seeds in the belly of Mother Earth? Because He had to be trying to bring out our Romantic side, as well make us fall in love with one another, just so the world could be a peaceful place to live in. I mean why else would such perfect beauties would have been created, and why would Mother Earth go along with these plans, and accept to hide these luxurious gifts that are flowers, just for her children, Humanity? And when you start to think about Beautiful Flowers Beloved, you can only picture just a few varieties, but I must tell you that there are over 250,000 species of flowering plants in the world, and growing as we discover more and more. Also, most everyone has singled out one or two to call favorite, simply because that is all they usually encounter. And these world wonders, the flowers, come into many varieties, shapes, sizes, smells, and don't forget that the flowers have been known for thousands of years as the natural remedies for many, many maladies.

So today, allow me to share with You just a few facts about flowers that will amaze You, and even what The Gods had to do with them:

---Roses are related to apples, raspberries, cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, pears and almonds.

---The largest flower in the world is the titan arums, which produce flowers 10 feet high and 3 feet wide. The flowers smell of decaying flesh and are also known as corpse flowers.

---AnemoneValentine.gr reports that red anemones are connected with the myth regarding the love affair between Adonis and Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. The couple liked to go hunting, and Ares, the god of war grew jealous watching them. One day when Adonis was alone, Ares turned into a boar and killed him. Aphrodite tried to save him by sprinkling him with nectar, but his soul was already in the Underworld. Where each drop of Adonis' blood fell to the earth, an anemone grew.

---Dandelions look like weeds, but the flowers and leaves are a good source of vitamins A and C, iron, calcium and potassium. One cup of dandelion greens provides 7,000-13,000 I.U. of vitamin A.

---Scientists discovered the world’s oldest flower in 2002, in northeast China. The flower, named Archaefructus sinensisbloomed around 125 million years ago and resembles a water lily

---Lotus In Greek mythology, the hero Odysseus (who was featured in Homer's Odyssey) was making his way home from Troy when he and his men encountered an island. The locals, known as the lotus-eaters, invited his men to taste the flowers, but those who did were overcome with feelings of bliss and forgetfulness. Eventually, they had to be dragged back to the ship and chained on deck so they wouldn't stay on the island.

---Roses are valued for their romantic symbolism but their blooms are also edible and have the flavors of green apples and strawberries. There are over 15,000 species of roses cultivated across the world.

---Sunflowers move throughout the day in response to the movement of the Sun from east to west.

---Narcissus Greek and Roman myth tells a tale of a boy named Narcissus. He was a very handsome youth with many admirers, but he wanted nothing to do with any of them. While the exact details tend to differ, it was either a goddess or a scorned lover who punished Narcissus by making him fall in love with his own reflection in a pool. He wasted away staring at himself and eventually transformed into the Narcissus flower

---Angelica was used in Europe for hundreds of years as a cure for everything from the bubonic plague to indigestion. It was thought to ward off evil spirits.

---Broccoli is a flower as well as a vegetable. Sunflowers are able to soak up radiation.

---Xochiquetzal -- According to Myths Encyclopedia, Xochiquetzal was a goddess of the Aztecs. She was the embodiment of sexuality and fertility, and her name meant "flower standing upright." She was always depicted holding a bouquet of flowers and wore a wreath of blooms on her head. Based on what translators have gathered from their poetry, the Aztecs thought of flowers as symbols of both life and death.

---Flowering plants make the outdoor environment a beautiful place.
So, Flowers... Why Does Mother Earth Give Us Such Beautiful Gifts? Because she knew that God created a Heart on the inside of us that is capable of feelings and emotions, and so she agreed to carry flowers inside her belly, so that when we are having our worst day, and someone hands us a flower, or a dozen, or a big bouquet, then we just can not help ourselves, but to have a huge smile on our face. And every time that happens, Mother Earth smiles as well, and even God taps His feet with pleasure, because His plans of helping us Humans to be happy, have come to fruition. And so this is another big reason why I am always pleading with You to help me to save Mother Earth, from the followers of Evil, who are bent on polluting her and killing all the flowers she has for You and Me. Then we will have nothing left, but ugliness, but wars, but murders, but diseases since the flowers will no longer be around to give us the cures that we so badly need.
