|HELP ME PLEASE, HOW DO YOU ANSWER THAT?|
Help Me Please, How Do You Answer That As A Philanthropist? Because this statement, or this plea, or exclamation is what you will encounter endlessly throughout your day in the paper mail, in your emails, at your functions and even on the street. And since you only have a finite resource at your disposal, an exact amount of money, just enough helping hand to give... Then you have to know what to say or do, toward the next person who crosses your path, right after you have just given your last help, your last dime, your last grant, your last connection and your last mental empathy.
Help Me Please! And so as a Philanthropist, your answer should never be I can not help you. Or I don't have anything to help you with. Because you of all people already know that in this life, nothing is impossible. And where there is a will to help, then there is always a way to give that help, to find help, to deliver help. So with that, you must always ask of the person: What is the very minimum of effort or resource that you need just to make it right now?
Because there so many needs that are coming your way, and because you are not God and does not have infinite energy, infinite resources, infinite kindness, infinite patience, and even infinite love... Then you must help the person to help you, by defining just what is the absolute minimum you can do for him or her. Because when people are saying to you "Help Me Please", they usually will want you to take care of everything for them, and restore them to the before time when everything was lovely. For example if someone is being chased by a powerful murderer, they will ask you for help, and expect for you to stop the murderer from chasing them, which you most likely will not be able to do. And so this is why you must, must find out what is the minimum you can do for that person. And then maybe, you can hide the person, maybe you can run interference with the murderer while the person gets away, and maybe you can call the police officer who is nearby for that person.
Or the person says to you "Help Me Please, I Am Starving", again you must find out as a Philanthropist with limited resources, if you can just give some bread and a glass of milk to quickly help the person regains some energy, or do you need to run him or her to the hospital to be fed intravenously, or do you even need to help that person get some food stamps so that their starvation will not continue monthly. So as you can see, this is why you must have the brother or sister who is in need helps you to help them, by finding out what do they mean by 'Help Me Please'.
